| i looooove bio lab!
today we looked at invertebrates, and sea anemones, and touched starfish, and other lovely stuff. but i discovered an absolutely adorable species of snails...they are soo cute. so their scientific name is dorid nidibranch. They are in the mollusca phylum and the gastropoda class....in case that means anything to anyone out there. these amazing snails don't have a shell, and they are about one inch. the two little guys i saw today were bright red and bright yellow, with little orange dots for their eyes. they looked so squishy! they looked so friendly! i wish i could have taken a picture of them. they were hanging out on the side of the glass wall of the tank, and they were soooo cute! ahhh...i want one! maybe i can find a pic online. *sigh* i think i will go visit them again during open lab on friday....yay, i can't wait!
ok...now i'm off to go watch the kings game again. i can't believe it's overtime!

| bus story part III
I am so disillusioned with Unitrans! Tonight I got out of lab early at 7:45 and I went to take the 8:10 bus home. Except that it never came! No one could give me a ride, so I had to wait for the next one and didn't get home until 9!.....vent vent vent...*seethes* and it was freezing cold too.
ok, this will be the last of the bus stories hopefully. on a happier note, i'm off to go do my chem post-lab. haha, eew. And tomorrow is bio lab, where I look forward to sorting fruit flies. awww, they are so small and cute!

| forgetful bus story part II:
today on the way home I zoned out and totally missed my bus stop. had to walk extra far, but at least it was still light outside!
silly me again! | | |
| Today when I came out of English it was bright and sunny! So I strolled over to the bus, and sat down. haha, a couple minutes later I realized, "oh my gosh. what are you doing?! you have bio in like 5 minutes!" wow- quickly had to walk across campus and was late for biology. good thing I hadn't stayed on that bus...and i've been laughing at myself for the rest of the day!

| sigh..spring break almost over already! But i've enjoyed it. spent some time reading, biking, spinning, running, baking, sleeping... I've been waiting for grades to come out. finally they came out today....some good some bad. yeah, been thinking about that a lot recently. It just strikes me how hard and competitive college is. In high school I knew that if I worked hard enough, I could get what I wanted. nope, not anymore. Worked sooo hard for chem, unbelievably hard. I don't think I've ever studied that hard in my life! Oh wow, if there was ever a time when I felt like I deserved an A for effort, it was then. nope, not going to happen. sigh. The final was ok, but then there was that one problem that I knew how to do but stupidly forgot how to do. It only, if only....Anywas, came to the realization that sometimes you can work so hard, but you're just not smart enough. and that's ok. I just don't feel ready to start this vicious cycle over again. Still a little burned out.
troublesome ankle. about two weeks or so ago I fell down running and twisted/bruised/sprained? my ankle. ever since it's been not quite the same. I can't really sit crossed legged for a long time anymore, and its been especially hurting these last few days. should i worry? eh, whatever.
today i almost threw away my cell phone. i was empting out the garbage, and i noticed a familiar jingling sound. the cell phone had fallen in, and good thing it had that charm on it or else i would've never noticed. close call....haha. : )
my cousin came from hawai'i and is looking at colleges. so we had all the relatives over and stuff. yay! spent time talking with her about colleges and the uc system, and majors. reminded me that at this time last year, we were all getting letters of acceptance! and rejection. then she was telling me all about her green dress and silver shoes for prom...hmm, brought back memories.
this spring quarter I am going to: bike to school more, attempt to get more sleep, conquer chem!, keep in touch with people more, help my mom more, attempt to play guitar more, eat healthier.
if only it would stop raining! | | |
